Founded in 2010, Ultragenyx is a biopharmaceutical company with a commitment to bring patients novel products for the treatment of rare and ultra-rare diseases, with a focus on serious, debilitating genetic diseases. In 2017 the client acquired a gene therapy company.
In the negotiation process, they vowed to preserve the original building facilities from the acquisition.
Two years later, the client needed help with the expansion of their analytical laboratory. The laboratory, in question, was for the GMP test release of gene therapy products, which they believed was a very important investment.
With having worked with our sales reps from a previous project, the client knew we would be able to get the job done right.
The project was a three-part install originally planned as one. The landlord gave an unfortunate time frame (5 PM – 1 AM) to have the installation completed. The furniture had to be unloaded across the street from the facility, driven over with other necessary equipment, and carried it up two flights of stairs.
With the furniture offloading challenge, and a start and stop installation period, due to the install being over a holiday season, the project was still completed and ready to use in 4 weeks, with no punch list afterwards. Thus making the client happy and ready to begin testing.
